This was one of those recipes that everyone has to have added to the favorites list. It was super easy to and was something I found I could throw in the crockpot mid afternoon and have ready to go at the various times everyone was rolling in for dinner.
One jar of marinara sauce
1# hamburger or less
1/2 box of spaghetti noodles, dry
1 cup chicken stock
8 oz brick of cream cheese
1 stalk celery, diced
fresh basil if available
in the bottom of the slow cooker, pour one half of your jar of marinara sauce. Break your spaghetti noodles and nestle them into the marinara. Now layer on the browned hamburger, next pour on your chicken stock, and add your diced celery and basil. Top with the cream cheese brick & remaining marinara and give a very slight stir. Cook on low for 2 to 3 hours. You’ll want to make sure and check it after one and a half to two hours to make sure your noodles are not getting too soft. Stir just prior to serving, and garnish with Parmesan cheese and more basil.
