I have to admit this product makes me feel a little young(er) at heart! It’s early March, the weather in the Midwest is still feeling much too winter-ish for my bones, and Christa is midway through a 2week hospital stay.
Family often asks, what can they send her to pass the time? Cards, balloons & goodies are always such a nice gesture & while puzzle books & magazines are a distraction too, the “stuff” tends to pile up in the room & make everyone feel a little crowded.
There was one little non-necessity I knew she’s had on her wish list for awhile though, and while I was going to save it for her birthday, I thought this might make a great little spirit lifter. My parents asked if they could send her a gift, so I suggested this adorable little aqua blue camera.
Made by Fuji, the Instax is a compact & cute version of the old school Polaroid. It pops out a fun sized print, perfect for many purposes, both practical & just for kicks. We love the idea of an instax guest book at a graduation or wedding, or strands of fairy lights strung along a brick wall dotted with insta-prints.
Teens, (& adults apparently too) enjoy the instant gratification of having the print develop right before their eyes! The other thing we loved about this brand was that the prints have a white border & the classic base margin to write a caption on. The camera came with batteries, a carrying strap & a (Mini zoom) lens for shooting objects at a bit of a distance. It also has pretty simplistic settings for sun or overcast & indoor shooting.
After snapping a few practice shots we have high hopes for future projects & fun with this little gem! And if your looking to try one out for yourself, here’s a link to the model we’re enjoying… right here
